The #iDREAM Campaign

Your $11 donation will provide nutritious meals for 2 children and an age appropriate book for 1 preschooler in the community.

Struck by the number of children in North Florida who live daily with hunger, Hunger Fight was founded in 2012. Headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, we are a 501(C)3 nonprofit agency that produces shelf-stable meals that are flavorful, nutritious, and easy to prepare in boiling water.

Hunger Fight’s success reflects the help we receive from the businesses, foundations, and community groups that host our meal packing events, and the thousands of volunteers who participate. In 2019, over 6,775 volunteers joined us and packaged 1,615,916 meals.

HOST A PACKING EVENT
What Is A Packing Event?

Packing events, whether in person or virtual, bring together businesses, civic organizations, churches, trade organizations, schools and community volunteers who work together to pack shelf-stable meals. These meals are distributed to children, families and seniors suffering from or at risk for hunger. Since the onset of the COVID19 pandemic, the need for food has risen exponentially and the demand increases almost daily.

For many who volunteer, working a Hunger Fight packing event is an entirely new experience. 2 ½ hours of organized chaos, music and bell ringing resulting in thousands of meals being packed for distribution. For businesses, corporate social responsibility is demonstrated through your employees’ participation in an event and lets others see first-hand that your organization is a genuine advocate for eradicating childhood hunger & illiteracy.
