In addition, children that are read to more often have improved language and listening skills and gain a lifelong love of reading. As part of Hunger Fight’s Feed the Need to Read program, they introduced Read with Us!, a video series of athletes, local heroes and friends of Hunger Fight reading their favorite book aloud. Children will have the ability to access the videos so they can be read to anytime, anywhere. NASCAR driver, Kyle Petty, kicked off the series by reading Little Blue Truck to his son.
